New Domestic Airline for Tonga

Chatman Pacific (The Friendly Islands Airline) proudly introduced and marked their commencement of Tongan domestic air services. The Prime Minister, other Ministers, and invited guests arrived from Nuku’alofa to mark this special occasion. A cocktail party was held at the Paradise InternationalHotel.
Two aircraft ie. Convair 580 carries 50 passengers and Metroliner aircraft18 passengers will service the major island groups of Tongatapu, Ha’apai and Vava’u.
Regular services to Eua and the Niuas will commence once a suitable aircraft is introduced. Services are anticipated to start towards the end of May 08.
Currently an informational website www.chathamspacific.com online and this will be updated within a few weeks to a fully functional website where you can find the important information for passengers eg baggage allowances, schedule & fares, secure online booking facilities (available late April), contact information regarding group bookings, charters, freight management and contact details for their team both New Zealand and Tonga.
